In 2008, Pete Holtermann started HolterMedia, a company that provides sports media relations with an emphasis on social media. The scope of work also includes event management and television production.

Under the HolterMedia shingle, Holtermann has provided media relations and/or social media development for the BNP Paribas Open, Farmers Classic, US Men’s Clay Court Championship and the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters & Women’s Open. In television production, he works with ESPN at all four tennis majors as well as the British Open golf championships. He also partners with StarGames, providing media relations and athlete coordination for the BNP Paribas Showdown at Madison Square Garden and the upcoming Caesars Tribute skating event.

Prior to starting his own company, Holtermann worked as Senior Manager of Media and Marketing Operations for the ATP World Tour. In his nearly five years with the Tour, he worked at tournaments worldwide handling media relations, marketing and player appearances. In addition, he actively pursued national placements for athletes in publications and on television.

A Milwaukee native, Holtermann is a graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati. After graduation, he worked as a freelance journalist, including regular assignments from the Cincinnati Enquirer. He then returned to Xavier to serve as Assistant Sports Information Director in the university’s athletic department.

HolterMedia strives to provide world class service for its clients. That starts with gaining a complete understanding of the client, and then working with the client to not only meet their needs, but find new and creative ways to grow.
